ME
I'm so happy right now! It feels so good to finally be able to talk to him. Especially after not hearing from him for one month cause he got into a (stupid) fight and was sentenced to 30 days in ad seg and couldn't contact me at all. But I never knew they allowed international phone calls in Fed, knowing how strict TDCJ is about phone calls. Now I kinda wish Jr was in Fed as well. But whatever, 3 more months and he'll be out and we'll finally be able to talk too!! I can't wait :)))
I'm off to the gym now, and when I get back I need to start on my bacteriology presentation!!! I've procrastinated on it long enough!
I woke up, watched a few episodes of Once Upon A Time (I love this show!!!), and had planned to go out to town for lunch and shopping when G called me and told me that she and her bf had missed their bus to Aran Islands, and decided to cook lunch for me and S instead. And obviously I couldn't say no, right? It was a nice lunch though, they made Korean bibimbap. I spammed gochuljang on my bibimbap, because I love that stuff a lot, and ended up with my tongue on fire lol. But it was worth it, cause I LOVE GOCHULJANG!!! Haha. But it felt so weird, because of everything that had happened in the past month. They acted like nothing happened, but I didn't feel comfortable with them anymore. I don't feel comfortable with them anymore, period. I was trying to pretend like nothing happened too, but it was hard to do, and I know I didn't do a good job. I'll be nice to them no matter what, I won't be all bitchy and in their faces and all, but our friendship is over. We will never go back to the way we were ever again.
Anyway, after lunch they decided we should go to Star King (a Chinese buffet restaurant in town) that night for dinner. The last time we went there was a year ago; it was the 6 of us then, our whole group; crazy how one year changes everything. The guys didn't like the food there, so we never went back, but we (the girls) thought it was okay. I mean, what kind of quality can you expect in Ireland, right? This is as good as it can get. Plus for a buffet, the price is not expensive. So we decided to revisit that place again one year after we last went there. There were so little people in there, like maybe only 15 other customers. And this is a Saturday night, mind you. The food was kinda the same, so-so, and they didn't bother to refill the dishes. I guess cause they know that no one else is gonna come in anyway. So yeah, I had a fat day today! I'm really feeling so, so full right now.
And I've watched 10 episodes of Once Upon A Time already! I really love that show. I can't wait to watch it all. My ass is actually kinda sore from sitting down in one position for so long, lol.
I actually have a mini "To-Do" after exam list, and I'm eager to start getting things done. I like that little feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment I get whenever I finish a task and can cross it off my list, however small that task may be. Okay, granted that it's only a momentary feeling, and given that I do tend to cheat often and put even the simplest of tasks on the list, still I can't deny the fact that I do always feel better after seeing my "To-Do" list get crossed out task by task! The biggest tasks that I have to complete this week are my Bacteriology presentation on Tuesday, and my GHD presentation on Friday. I can't wait till this week is over, then I'll have this semester's presentations out of the way already!
Alona's been telling me about this TV series called "Once Upon A Time", and it sounds super intriguing, because it's about fairy tale characters in our modern world. I'm a HUGE sap, I love things like these; anything that explores the possibility of fantasy and magic in our world is something that I would go see. So I'm planning to spend this weekend watching that show. But first things first: tonight I plan to watch my Big Bang Theory! I've only watched the first episode of this season, and since then 5 more have come out, and I'm eager to watch it all back to back. I love TBBT, it's like my favorite TV show ever. This weekend is gonna be a lazy weekend, I need this break before the final papers roll around. I plan to just do nothing productive at all, and be a complete slob lol. I'm so looking forward to it! :)))

Hello, my name is Mylene.

My pen pal Anthony called me today!!!! I had just come back from church and grocery shopping, it was about 2pm, when my phone rang with a blocked number. And I picked it up and was going, "Hello? Hello?" and he went, "Hey Mylene!" I was like, "Hey! I'm sorry, but who are you?" and he went, "It's me, Anthony!" I started squealing "OMG OMG!!" lol, he was laughing away. I can't believe I finally got to talk to him! His voice and accent was completely not what I'd expected it to be, and I really like it. At first I was kinda nervous about talking to him, I mean, we've only been communicating by emails and letters, what would it be like when you're finally really talking to someone? I was afraid that it was gonna be awkward. But no, it was so lovely talking to him, we hit it off straightaway. He was like his emails and letters come to life. We only got 15 minutes, because that's the limit to the time of each phone call that they can make, and also cause it's super expensive for him to call an international number. But I had so much fun during those 15 minutes. I'm thinking that I should get a local USA number, just so that he doesn't have to spend so much on calls to me. It won't be that expensive anyway.I'm so happy right now! It feels so good to finally be able to talk to him. And I'm finally done with my H&D mid sem paper. It was a tough paper, but whatever. I've done my best for it already, it was all I could do for it; my grade is beyond my control right now. I was supposed to go out and watch Skyfall (the new James Bond movie) with the IMU people, but in the end I decided not to. I felt so bad for lying that I had something on and therefore couldn't make it, but I really didn't feel like going out after the paper. I didn't feel like socializing with anyone. I just wanted to be by myself. I decided to head to the gym, because I've been comfort eating and haven't exercised in over a week, and also because I felt like I needed a solid workout to burn off the frustration in me. I did manage to get a good workout, and I came home to an empty house, which is rare, and (for today especially) a particularly blissful thing. I could do my own thing without worrying about anyone.I actually have a mini "To-Do" after exam list, and I'm eager to start getting things done.
