ME
And last weekend was my farewell party with my father's side of the family, aka the SP family! My parents booked a house for the whole extended family in Kukup to celebrate my farewell. It was some sort of package thingy, with meals all included, and a ferry trip to see a nature reservoir and fishing farm included. It was so much fun!:D Maybe because of the lovely company. And William gorgor proposed to his girlfriend that night, in front of us all, by surprise! Like none of us knew about it beforehand, not even his own mother! Ahhhhhhh I'm gonna miss all of them D:
In less than a week's time, I'll be out of Singapore! I'm both excited and nervous at the same time. Excited because this whole thing represents a whole new chapter of my life- I'll be starting my life anew in a foreign land with foreign people; nervous because I'll be taking a giant leap out of my comfort zone, being in a new land without my family and friends with me.
It'll be hell of an adventure, I suppose.
I'm like, only 60% packed. And I leave in 6 days time. And I'm going to Melaka for a day trip on Wednesday still. Oh, the fun of it all!:D
I suppose since there's no turning back now, I have to soldier on forward! In a way, I find myself incredibly fortunate to be able to experience an overseas education. Not many people can afford an overseas education without a scholarship, and I think I'm very lucky my father's business picked up this year and generated enough income for him to be able to afford me a medicine education in an overseas university. I know I'm so lucky, and that's why I'm determined to make the most out of this opportunity given to me. I want to do well there, and graduate successfully. Whether I come back to Singapore or not, what I want to do after graduation is another matter altogether, but I just hope I can graduate successfully from university. And academics aside, I hope to do fun things there, things that I can't do in Singapore. I have no idea what at this point, but I'm not gonna go there and come back being the same old Mylene.
It's time for a new me, as I enter my twenties!

Then we went over to CoffeeKaki for after-meal drinks, this time courtesy of Aunty Wai Leng, and I had blueberry cheesecake too mmmmmmmm:) okay fatty fatty sighs:(And last weekend was my farewell party with my father's side of the family, aka the SP family!
